11 Rescued After Fire Breaks Out in Kandivali West Commercial Building

Firefighters rescued 11 people after a Level-I fire broke out in a commercial building on Kandivali Station Road near Abhirai Hotel in Kandivali West during the early hours of Monday, August 17. No injuries were reported in the incident.

According to civic officials, the blaze was reported to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's Mumbai Fire Brigade Control at approximately 4:14 am.

Firefighters responding to the emergency evacuated 11 individuals from a lodging house located on the second floor of the smoke-filled commercial structure.

The Mumbai Fire Brigade confirmed that the fire remained confined to electrical wiring and installations, wooden furniture, tarpaulin, bamboo, and plastic materials belonging to an adjacent temporary fruit stall.

Emergency personnel brought the situation under control, and authorities confirmed that no casualties or burn injuries occurred during the blaze or the subsequent rescue operation.
