13 Child Labourers Rescued from Jewellery Unit in Kandivali West

Charkop Police have rescued 13 minors following a raid on an imitation jewellery manufacturing unit in Kandivali West, Mumbai police officials confirmed.

The operation took place at a manufacturing unit identified as Jhahara Fashion Era, located within the Charkop Industrial Estate.

According to police officials, the rescued children are between 13 and 17 years of age. They were found working inside the manufacturing facility during the crackdown.

Following the rescue operation, the owner and the operator of the imitation jewellery unit were detained by the police for employing underage workers.
