14-Year-Old Boy Dies After Cement Mixer Truck Hits Bike Near Dahisar Toll Naka

A 14-year-old schoolboy was killed on Monday afternoon after the motorcycle he was riding with his father was struck by a speeding cement mixer truck near the Dahisar toll naka in Mira Road. The fatal collision occurred directly in front of Godavari Lodge.

The deceased has been identified as Saurabh Vishwakarma. He was returning home from school alongside his father when the accident took place.

According to preliminary information provided by authorities, the motorcycle was hit from behind by the cement mixer truck. The impact caused both Saurabh and his father to fall onto the roadway. Saurabh fell under the rear wheel of the heavy vehicle, sustaining severe injuries that resulted in his death on the spot.

Kashimira traffic division senior inspector Prufulla Wagh confirmed the details of the incident. Saurabh's father, who was operating the motorcycle without a helmet, sustained injuries during the crash and was transported to a local hospital, where he is currently undergoing medical treatment.

Investigators reviewed CCTV footage recovered from the area following the incident. Police stated that the footage confirmed the motorcycle was travelling along the left side of the cement mixer truck when the truck driver collided with it.
