15 Navi Mumbai Police Personnel Awarded Service Medals on Independence Day
Fifteen officers and personnel from the Navi Mumbai Police Commissionerate were selected for prestigious service medals on the occasion of Independence Day, in recognition of their long, meritorious, and unblemished service.
The medals were announced by Maharashtra Director General of Police Sadanand Date. Fourteen of the recipients were felicitated by Navi Mumbai Police Commissioner Milind Bharambe during the flag-hoisting ceremony held at the Police Commissionerate.
Commissioner Bharambe himself was selected for the Ati-Utkrusht Seva Medal and will be felicitated by the Director General of Police at a separate ceremony. Joint Commissioner of Police Deepak Sakore and Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Pramod Shewale were also honoured for their distinguished service.
Speaking at the event, Bharambe stated that the honour recognises the discipline, integrity, dedication to duty, and tireless efforts of Navi Mumbai Police personnel toward ensuring citizen safety. He extended congratulations to the medal recipients and their families.
Ten officers and personnel were named for the Ati-Utkrusht Seva Medal. Alongside Commissioner Bharambe, Joint Commissioner Sakore, and Additional Commissioner Shewale, the recipients include Assistant Commissioner of Police Shaileshkumar Laxminarayan Anchalwar, Police Inspector Pramod Bhaskarrao Tordmal, Police Sub-Inspector Ambadas Raghunath Kamble, Assistant Sub-Inspector Sunil Raghunath Nalawade, and Police Head Constables Vinod Bhujang Navale, Vikas Prabhakar Salvi, and Shivling Pandurang Thigale.
Three personnel were selected for the Utkrusht Seva Medal: Police Naik Abhay Atmaram Sangle, Assistant Sub-Inspector Sameer Suresh Patil, and Woman Police Head Constable Archana Jitendra Mhatre.
The C-60 Service Medal was awarded to Senior Police Inspector and Reader to the Police Commissioner Prithviraj Ajitsingh Ghorpade, as well as Police Sub-Inspector Tukaram Suresh Nangre of the Quick Response Team.
Additionally, CIDCO Chief Vigilance Officer Suresh Mengde was selected for the Ati-Utkrusht Seva Medal, while Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dial 112) Prashant Mohite and State Reserve Police Force Commandant Sanjay Jadhav were named for the Utkrusht Seva Medal.
