19th HGH India Trade Show Opens At NESCO In Mumbai With Over 700 Brands

On Tuesday, Textile Commissioner Vrunda Manohar Desai inaugurated the 19th edition of HGH India, a premier four-day trade show for home textiles, home decor, houseware, and gifts, at Hall 6 of the Bombay Exhibition Centre, NESCO in Mumbai. The event brings together government officials, international representatives, designers, and industry leaders to connect manufacturers with trade buyers.

The exhibition features more than 700 Indian and international brands and manufacturers. Organizers expect the event to attract over 50,000 national and international trade buyers.

Chief Guest Vrunda Manohar Desai, Textile Commissioner in the Ministry of Textiles, addressed the gathering during the inaugural ceremony. She emphasized that sustainability has transitioned from a buzzword into an integral part of business strategy. Desai highlighted the growing focus on sustainable textiles, circularity, and traceability across the home textiles value chain, describing HGH India as a vital platform for exchanging ideas and promoting innovation.

The inaugural ceremony was also attended by Guests of Honour Walter Ferrara, the Consul General of Italy, and Vikas Pansare, the Managing Director of MSSIDC. The event was hosted by organizers Arun Roongta, Managing Director of Texzone Information Services Pvt. Ltd., and Dr. Geert Böttger, Director of Expo + Consulting Associates Ltd.

Arun Roongta stated that the trade show was established to provide the Indian home industry with a platform matching its ambitions. He noted that this 19th edition reflects the sector's rapid evolution in design, sustainability, and global outlook, while offering opportunities for business networking.

Walter Ferrara highlighted the growing trade opportunities between Italy and India, noting their shared traditions of craftsmanship and innovation. An official Italian Pavilion at the event showcases five Italian brands focusing on design, sustainability, and creativity.

Organised by Texzone, the exhibition is centered on the themes of Contemporary, Futuristic, and Sustainable. Key attractions at the venue include the PreSense Trend Forecast 2026-27, Technical Textiles Pavilion, Sustainability Pavilion, Smart Kitchen Pavilion, and the Indian Heritage Pavilion, alongside the H-Circle Product Innovation Awards and HGH India Interactive sessions.
