50-Year-Old Woman Dies After Scooter Hits Pothole Near Jambhale Village in Thane

A 50-year-old woman died after the scooter she was riding pillion on hit a pothole and crashed near Jambhale village in the Thane district. The fatal accident occurred on the night of June 28, 2026, when the victim was returning home with her son.

The deceased has been identified as Aruna Arun Kulkarni. According to the local police, she was travelling on the two-wheeler with her 25-year-old son, Pratik Kulkarni, who was riding the scooter at the time of the incident.

The mother and son were returning home after visiting the Titwala Ganpati temple. As they were passing near Jambhale village, the scooter hit a pothole on the road, causing the vehicle to crash. The accident resulted in the death of the 50-year-old woman.
