Aarey Police Rescue Two Runaway Minors Who Reached Mumbai to Pursue Acting

The Aarey police in Goregaon have taken safe custody of two minor runaways who separately arrived in Mumbai hoping to enter the entertainment industry. A 15-year-old girl from Assam and a 16-year-old boy from Madhya Pradesh, unknown to each other, both left their respective homes without informing their families and made their way towards Film City in Goregaon before police intervened.

On August 4, the 15-year-old girl left her home in Rathi Lokhojan village in Assam, brimming with zeal to fulfill her ambition of working in films. She boarded an express train at Guwahati without telling her parents and travelled to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT). Upon arrival in Mumbai, she searched for the address of Film City on her mobile phone and travelled to the site in Goregaon.

However, after failing to find any acting work, the teenager approached the Aarey police station to seek help. During the inquiry, police officers learnt about her journey triggered by her acting ambitions. Cops obtained her mother’s contact number and immediately notified her family. Her parents, who were frantically searching for her, are now travelling to Mumbai to take her back home.

In a second separate case, a 16-year-old boy from Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh, also ran away to Mumbai to pursue a television career. On August 6, the boy told his parents he was heading to school, but instead boarded a train from Chhindwara alone. He reached Nagpur and then boarded a connecting train to Mumbai Central, driven by a dream to work in the TV serial 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah'.

After arriving at Mumbai Central, the teenager travelled to Goregaon and walked towards Film City. A passerby spotted the boy wandering alone in the area and informed the local police. Cops subsequently brought him into safe custody at the Aarey police station before he could encounter any trouble.
