Activist Deepak Rannaware Begins Indefinite Hunger Strike in Jalna

Activist Deepak Rannaware on Saturday launched an indefinite hunger strike at Mahatma Gandhi Chaman in Jalna, demanding government action on several long-pending issues concerning the Brahmin community.
The demonstration was initiated to urge the Maharashtra state government to address multiple community grievances, including demands for the provision of free education and the allocation of a Rs 1,000 crore fund for the Brahmin community.
Speaking at the protest site, Rannaware stated that the agitation was organised to draw direct attention from the state administration to the challenges faced by community members.
Rannaware noted that he had previously undertaken hunger strikes in Jalna on two separate occasions to highlight these same concerns. However, he alleged that the state government had failed to pay adequate attention to their grievances, prompting him to launch the renewed indefinite strike.
