AIDWA to March from Azad Maidan to Mantralaya Over Ladki Bahin Scheme Dues

The All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) Maharashtra State Committee will stage a statewide protest march from Azad Maidan, near the Mumbai Marathi Patrakar Sangh, to Mantralaya in Mumbai on November 3. The demonstration is scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM.
The march has been organised to demand that the Maharashtra state government immediately release all pending payments owed to beneficiaries under the Mukhyamantri Ladki Bahin scheme.
Alongside the pending scheme disbursements, the demonstration will highlight wider public concerns. The association stated that the march will seek government intervention on issues regarding food security, local water supply, healthcare facilities, and workers’ wages.
Several senior leaders from the organisation will lead the demonstration in the state capital. Confirmed participants include AIDWA patron and former Member of Parliament Brinda Karat, national president and former MP P K Sreemathi, and vice-president Mariam Dhawale.
The statewide gathering at Azad Maidan is intended to press the state administration into addressing these welfare and civic grievances directly at the government headquarters.
