Airport Cargo Worker Arrested After Fatal Stabbing on Mumbai Local Train

ANDHERI — A routine transit journey turned fatal when a dispute over a local train coach door escalated into a deadly stabbing. The incident occurred inside a first-class compartment of a Churchgate-Nallasopara fast local train as it transited through the Andheri area.
The altercation began as a simple disagreement between two passengers. According to reports, the commuters clashed over whether the coach door should be closed. The argument quickly escalated into physical violence, culminating in one of the commuters being stabbed to death inside the moving train.
Following the fatal attack, the suspect fled the scene. Police launched an investigation to track down the assailant. The suspect, who works as an airport cargo worker, was later located and apprehended by law enforcement officers in Panvel.
The police have arrested the airport cargo worker on charges related to the murder of the commuter. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the exact sequence of events that led to the sudden escalation of violence during the journey.
