In a post on social media platform X on August 13, 2026, Thackeray praised the Tamil Nadu Assembly for demonstrating what he described as political unity on an issue concerning students.

Thackeray also criticized the Maharashtra government for allegedly ignoring concerns related to education and recruitment examinations, urging the state to prioritize students.
