Andheri East Resident Dies in Aarey Flyover Motorcycle Crash

A 46-year-old resident of Andheri East died after his motorcycle was struck by a truck on the Aarey Flyover along the North Channel of the Western Express Highway in Goregaon East on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Sushil Sharma, who lived in Andheri East and was employed at a private firm located in Malad West.
According to a police complaint lodged by his 73-year-old father, Sureshchandra Sharma, Sushil left his residence at around 1:00 pm on his motorcycle to travel to work. At approximately 1:30 pm, while he was heading towards Malad, a truck coming from his left side reportedly collided with his two-wheeler. The impact threw Sushil onto the road, after which the wheel of the truck ran over him.
A passer-by, identified as Adarsh Singh, contacted the family to notify them about the crash. A tempo driver passing by the scene stopped to assist and helped transport the critically injured motorist to the Jogeshwari Trauma Care Centre. However, Sushil succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at around 2:15 pm.
Following the complaint from the victim's father, police registered a case against the truck driver for allegedly driving negligently and causing the fatal crash. Officials have served a notice to the accused driver as part of the investigation.
