Andheri-Ghatkopar Link Road Section to Close on September 5 for Dahi Handi

A section of the Andheri-Ghatkopar Link Road will be closed to vehicular traffic on September 5, 2026, to accommodate a large Dahi Handi gathering in the area.

Mumbai Traffic Police announced that the restrictions will be effective from 7:00 am to 11:30 pm. The temporary closure has been scheduled due to a major Dahi Handi event being organised at Tilak Wadi in Sainath Nagar, situated along the Ghatkopar-Andheri Link Road in Ghatkopar (West).

According to an official notification issued by the Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Eastern Suburb Traffic, the south channel of the Andheri-Ghatkopar Link Road will be completely shut during this period.

The vehicular shutdown on the south channel will apply specifically to the stretch between Shreyas Junction and Bhimnagar Junction, prohibiting all categories of vehicles from plying along that section.
