Andheri salesman stabbed to death on local train over open door argument

A 22-year-old salesman who worked at a private company in Andheri was stabbed to death inside a first-class compartment of a Churchgate–Virar local train. The fatal incident occurred as the victim was returning home from his workplace.
The victim, identified as Virar resident Mayank Lohar, had boarded the local train at Andheri station. The accused, identified by police as Roshan Suvarna, also boarded the same train at Andheri station.
According to the Mumbai Police, a heated verbal altercation broke out between the two passengers shortly after the train departed. The argument reportedly centered on whether the door of the first-class coach should remain open or closed during a period of heavy rainfall.
As the train continued its journey between Andheri and Borivali stations, the verbal dispute quickly escalated. During the physical confrontation that followed, Suvarna allegedly pulled out a sharp weapon and stabbed Lohar in the abdomen.
Lohar sustained severe abdominal injuries from the attack and later succumbed to his wounds.
Following the incident, the Mumbai Police launched an investigation to track down the assailant. Officers eventually located and arrested Suvarna in Panvel. According to police reports, the accused was apprehended while he was actively attempting to flee the city after committing the crime.
