ATS Arrests Padgha Truck Driver for Circulating Terrorist Videos Online

The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has arrested a 34-year-old truck driver from Padgha in Thane district for allegedly downloading and circulating videos of wanted terrorists on social media platforms.

The accused has been identified as Sohel Razzaq Sheikh, a resident of the Padgha area. According to sources, Sheikh allegedly accessed and distributed video material featuring Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander Farhatullah Ghori and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) chief Masood Azhar.

During questioning by investigators, Sheikh allegedly stated that he liked listening to the speeches and material in the videos, which led him to download the clips and post them across social media networks.

Following the arrest, the ATS handed Sheikh over to the Padgha police, who are now conducting further investigation into the case.

A case has been registered against Sheikh under Section 196(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). He is scheduled to be produced before a court on Friday.

Police sources stated that an active probe is underway to determine the exact circumstances under which the videos were circulated and to establish whether the accused maintained any additional links or associations connected to the terror-related material.
