Australian Envoy Philip Green Calls for Reopening of Strait of Hormuz During Mumbai Visit

Australian High Commissioner to India Philip Green expressed concern over ongoing disruptions in West Asia during a visit to Mumbai on Wednesday, stating that both India and Australia want the Strait of Hormuz to reopen at the earliest opportunity.

Speaking in Mumbai, the envoy highlighted the critical importance of the waterway for maintaining international economic activity and securing global energy supplies.

Green underlined that, despite ongoing geopolitical challenges in the region, the energy partnership between India and Australia will continue to serve as a key avenue for bilateral cooperation.
