Badlapur Man Dies After Collapsing During Office Outing At Imagica Theme Park

A 47-year-old man from Badlapur died on Friday evening after collapsing during an office outing near the locker area at the Imagica theme park in Khalapur, Navi Mumbai. The incident occurred between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM as the group was preparing to leave the venue.

The deceased has been identified as Kapil Rajaram Patil, a resident of Mahavir Nagar in Kulgaon, Badlapur. Patil had travelled to the amusement park with his colleagues for his company's annual excursion.

According to officials from the Khalapur police, the group had spent the day enjoying the park's rides and attractions. As they were preparing to depart, Patil, who was seated near the locker area, complained of dizziness before suddenly collapsing.

Patil's colleagues immediately alerted the park authorities. Imagica staff rushed him to a nearby hospital for emergency care. As his condition continued to deteriorate, he was referred to another clinic in Khalapur, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

The Khalapur police have registered an accidental death report under Section 194 (unnatural death) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. Preliminary findings suggest that Patil may have suffered a cardiac event.
