Bandra Police arrest attempted murder accused Khalid Jalaluddin Khan in Kherwadi

The Bandra Police on Friday, July 10, 2026, re-arrested a 65-year-old proclaimed offender wanted in an attempted murder case during a targeted operation in Kherwadi, Bandra (East), Mumbai. The arrest took place after the accused allegedly skipped his scheduled court hearings, prompting law enforcement to track him down.
The apprehended individual has been identified as Khalid Jalaluddin Khan, 65, who is a resident of Kherwadi in Bandra (East).
According to the Bandra Police, Khan had been declared a proclaimed offender by a Mumbai sessions court. This status was designated after the accused failed to appear for his court hearings in connection with the attempted murder case.
The arrest on Friday was carried out as part of an intelligence-led operation. Officers from the Bandra Police received specific intelligence inputs concerning the whereabouts of the accused. Based on this information, the police team laid a trap in the Kherwadi area to capture him.
Following the successful setup of the trap, officers apprehended Khan. The absconding accused was immediately taken into custody.
With the arrest completed, the Bandra Police confirmed that Khan will be produced before the Mumbai sessions court. The police operation successfully resolved the search for the accused, who had been evading his court dates.
