BEST to Run Special Buses for NEET Students in Mumbai Amid Ongoing Strike

The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) undertaking has arranged special bus services for students appearing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) in Mumbai. The decision was implemented on the second day of an ongoing strike that has completely suspended regular bus operations across the metropolitan area.
The strike has paralyzed the city's public bus network, creating major transit challenges for daily commuters. As the protest entered its second day with no regular buses plying the streets, concerns grew over how students would travel to their examination centers. The NEET is a critical exam, and timely arrival at the centers is mandatory for all candidates.
To prevent the strike from disrupting the academic prospects of these candidates, transport authorities coordinated the arrangement of special services. These dedicated buses are designed to transport NEET students to their destinations, bypassing the ongoing paralysis of the standard transit system.
Regular BEST bus services remain entirely suspended as the strike continues. However, the mobilization of these special vehicles ensures that the student community has a reliable transport alternative during the ongoing city-wide transit dispute.
