BJP MP Hemant Savara, MLA Rajan Naik Protest Pothole-Ridden Roads in Vasai-Virar

Bharatiya Janata Party MP Dr. Hemant Savara and Nalasopara MLA Rajan Naik took to the streets on Sunday to protest against the deteriorating condition of roads in Vasai-Virar, demanding that authorities carry out immediate repairs on pothole-ridden stretches.

The large-scale agitation was organized by the BJP following growing concerns over the condition of the city's infrastructure and commuter safety. Several roads across Vasai-Virar have degraded severely due to heavy rains, creating numerous potholes that have caused significant inconvenience to motorists and pedestrians alike.

During the demonstration, the elected representatives alleged that the responsible authorities failed to repair the potholes in time despite the worsening conditions. MP Dr. Savara and MLA Naik joined the agitation on the ground, pressing the administration to initiate repair work without further delay.

The protest also highlighted widespread dissatisfaction among residents, who criticized the local administration over the state of basic civic infrastructure. Citizens noted that elected representatives being compelled to take to the streets over fundamental civic amenities reflects a failure on the part of the administration.

The deteriorating road network has raised serious safety concerns for daily commuters navigating the damaged routes. Protesters reiterated their call for urgent administrative intervention to ensure that all pothole-filled roads across the Vasai-Virar region are restored promptly.
