BJP releases list of 11 candidates for Maharashtra MLC elections

MUMBAI — The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) officially released its list of 11 candidates late Sunday night in Mumbai, Maharashtra, to contest the upcoming Member of Legislative Council (MLC) elections. The crucial polls are scheduled to be held on June 18, determining the representation in the state's legislative council.
Among the key selections is Prajakt Tanpure, who has been named as the party’s candidate for the Ahilyanagar seat. Tanpure's nomination follows his entry into the BJP, which took place less than 24 hours before the official candidate list was made public.

The BJP's list spans multiple key regions across Maharashtra. For the Bhandara-Gondia seat, the party has fielded Avinash Brahmankar. The Amravati seat will be contested by Pravin Pote Patil, while Dhairyashil Kadam has been selected to run for the Sangli-Satara seat.
In Solapur, the party has chosen Rajendra Raut as its official candidate. Suhas Shirsat will contest the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar-Jalna seat, and Amar Rajurkar has been nominated for the Nanded constituency.
