BMC Hosts Rakhi Exhibition Featuring Products by Self-Help Groups, Disabled Students

A special rakhi exhibition organised by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) drew an enthusiastic response from Mumbai residents ahead of Raksha Bandhan. The stalls, set up at the BMC headquarters and administrative ward offices across the city, featured handmade rakhis and diverse products crafted by women's self-help groups and students with disabilities.

The civic body organised the exhibition to support and promote women's self-help groups by offering them a dedicated platform. The initiative was aimed at providing these groups with direct access to consumers and opening up a wider market for their handmade goods.

Throughout the event, citizens visited the stalls alongside BMC officials and civic employees to purchase rakhis and other handcrafted items. The exhibition allowed artisans and students to present their work directly to buyers across municipal offices.
