BMC Targets December 2026 Completion for Mahalaxmi Cable-Stayed Bridge

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has targeted a completion deadline of December 31, 2026, for Mumbai's first cable-stayed civic bridge being constructed over railway tracks near Mahalaxmi railway station.

The new structure is being built on Keshavrao Khadye Marg in Mahalaxmi. It is designed to cross the Western Railway tracks, providing a direct link between Saat Rasta and Mahalaxmi Maidan, also known as the Mahalaxmi Racecourse.

According to an official statement, the project is taking shape under Mumbai's Development Plan and is expected to enhance local connectivity between Saat Rasta and the racecourse area upon completion.
