Body of unidentified man recovered from Shastri Nagar nullah in Goregaon West

A sense of panic spread among local residents in Goregaon West, Mumbai, after the body of an unidentified man was recovered from the Shastri Nagar nullah on Link Road on Sunday afternoon, July 5, 2026. The discovery has prompted a formal investigation by the Mumbai Police.

The incident came to light on Sunday afternoon when local residents spotted the body inside the Shastri Nagar nullah. Following the discovery, the residents immediately alerted the police.

Upon receiving the alert, police officers rushed to the spot on Link Road. The police team conducted a panchnama at the scene. Following the initial on-site procedures, the body of the deceased man was recovered from the nullah.

The body was subsequently sent to Siddharth Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Authorities are awaiting the results of the post-mortem to determine the exact cause of the man's death.

At present, the deceased man remains unidentified. The Mumbai Police are conducting an ongoing investigation and are making active efforts to establish the identity of the man.
