Bombay HC Allows Businessman Dhun Thacker to Withdraw Bail Plea in Santacruz Case

The Bombay High Court on August 5 allowed Ahmedabad-based businessman Dhun Thacker to withdraw his anticipatory bail plea in connection with a money dispute case registered at the Santacruz Police Station. The court granted Thacker liberty to approach the court afresh.

Thacker, who is also known by several aliases, had filed the plea seeking protection from arrest following a case registered against him in Santacruz.

The case arises from a dispute where a woman alleged that crucial facts were concealed from her after she believed she had found her life partner. The situation subsequently led to allegations of financial pressure, disputed loans, threats, and monetary demands.

Following the High Court order permitting the withdrawal of the anticipatory bail application, Thacker retains the option to approach the court again with a fresh plea.
