BPCL Launches Bharatgas Lite ZIP LPG Service In Mumbai For Faster Deliveries

On Saturday, July 18, 2026, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) officially launched 'Bharatgas Lite ZIP' in Mumbai, introducing a premium LPG service designed to provide instant new gas connections and faster cylinder deliveries. The launch in Mumbai marks a shift towards a digital and customer-focused cooking gas experience.

The new offering combines BPCL's lightweight Bharatgas Lite composite cylinder with a premium service model. This service is specifically designed to meet the needs of working professionals, students, and individuals who frequently relocate, all of whom often require quicker and more hassle-free access to cooking gas.

In addition to faster delivery times, customers will use the Bharatgas Lite composite cylinders, which offer several design benefits. These cylinders are constructed with a lightweight body for easy handling and are completely corrosion-free. They also feature a transparent body that allows users to easily check the remaining LPG level, alongside enhanced safety features and a modern design.

BPCL Chairman and Managing Director Sanjay Khanna stated during the launch that Bharatgas Lite ZIP represents a key step in the company's customer-centric innovation journey. Khanna explained that the service successfully combines advanced composite cylinder technology with a premium service experience, while maintaining high standards of safety and reliability. He also expressed appreciation for the contributions of Bharatgas distributors and delivery personnel in strengthening customer trust.

BPCL Director of Marketing Subhankar Sen emphasized that the company is aiming to move beyond simply supplying LPG to offering complete energy solutions that are convenient, transparent, and reliable. Sen highlighted that initiatives such as 100% digital booking, OTP-based delivery authentication, and the company's "Zero Ka Dum" quality assurance programme are designed to improve customer confidence.

Following the Mumbai launch, BPCL plans to expand the Bharatgas Lite ZIP service to 100 cities across 24 states by August 15, 2026, before eventually rolling it out to other major cities across the country.
