BSGSS Urges Caution After Bhuleshwar Ganesh Idol Mishap Leaves Two Dead

Two people were killed after a Ganesh idol fell during its arrival ceremony at the Bhuleshwarcha Raja pandal in Bhuleshwar, prompting the Brihanmumbai Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Samanvay Samiti (BSGSS) to urge the public against jumping to conclusions before official investigations are completed.

Naresh Dahibavkar, president of the BSGSS—the apex umbrella body representing more than 12,000 public Ganesh mandals—addressed the tragedy, stating that people must refrain from making premature assumptions until the authorities conduct a full enquiry into the incident.

Police maintained a presence at the Bhuleshwaracha Raja pandal on Sunday in the hours following the fatal collapse, as officials began looking into the circumstances surrounding the mishap during the arrival procession.

The BSGSS continues to advocate for caution and patience as the formal enquiry into the Bhuleshwar tragedy proceeds.
