Car Crashes Into Fitness Boss Gym In Marol Injuring Receptionist

A car crashed into the entrance of Fitness Boss The Gym in the Marol neighbourhood of Mumbai on Thursday evening, injuring a 21-year-old receptionist after the driver lost control of the vehicle while coming down a slope.

The accident occurred at approximately 5:00 PM near the Kanakia Rainforest complex, which is located in the SevenHills area of Marol.

The receptionist, who was identified as 21-year-old Sania Khan, was seated at her reception desk when the vehicle crashed directly through the entrance of the gym.

Vikas Singh, who works as a trainer at Fitness Boss The Gym, confirmed that Khan was seated at the reception desk at the exact moment the car crashed through the entrance. Singh stated that she has since been hospitalised to receive medical treatment for an arm injury.

The crash caused damage to the entrance of the establishment. The gym management has stated that they will lodge a formal police complaint against the driver who lost control of the vehicle.

Intekhab Farooqui, a resident of the Marol locality and the state vice-president of Vahatuk Sena (UBT), provided details on the driver's actions. Farooqui stated that the driver was struggling to maintain control of the car on the slope near the Kanakia Rainforest complex. The driver was supposed to take a left turn after coming down the slope, but instead crashed directly into the gym entrance.

Following the crash, local residents are planning to take action to prevent future incidents on the incline. Farooqui stated that Marol residents will soon meet with traffic police officials to discuss how to avoid similar accidents in the SevenHills area. One of the potential safety measures they plan to discuss is the installation of safety signboards on the steep incline.
