Cast and Creators Launch Mirzapur The Movie Trailer at Juhu Multiplex
The cast and crew of the upcoming feature film Mirzapur: The Movie hosted a trailer launch event at a multiplex hall in Juhu ahead of its planned theatrical release on September 4. The film is directed by Gurmeet Singh and written by Puneet Krishna, bringing the popular franchise to the big screen with an ensemble cast led by Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, and Divyenndu.
Atmospheric decor greeted attendees outside the entrance of the Juhu venue, where ammo cartons, guns, and carpets were arranged around the space. Servers at the venue offered 'Bullet' ice cream to guests, ushering attendees into the world of the film before the main presentation began inside the auditorium.
Ardent fans filled the audience, shouting and chanting for each character as the cast members walked onto the stage. Attendees repeatedly chanted the word "bhaukal" literally every 15 minutes throughout the event. The loudest cheers from the crowd were reserved for key stars Pankaj Tripathi, Divyenndu, and Ali Fazal.
While interactions with the event host largely revolved around the characters, actor Shweta Tripathi Sharma made a pointed statement during the discussion regarding onscreen depiction. Addressing previous public debates about whether the series was excessively violent, she emphasized that violence should only be practiced on screen and not in real life.
The newly unveiled trailer featured several notable sequences, including a scene starring Ravi Kishan. In the clip, after stabbing someone, Kishan's character expresses disappointment at the minimal blood loss, asking, "Tera haemoglobin low hai kya?".
Speaking after the launch, writer and co-creator Puneet Krishna interacted with attendees regarding his soft-spoken demeanor. In response to being told how surprisingly soft-spoken he appeared compared to the harsh world of the story, Krishna noted that while he keeps it down in public, he actually has a foul mouth.
Mirzapur: The Movie is scheduled for a theatrical release on September 4. The massive cast includes Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyenndu, Jitendra Kumar, Ravi Kishan, Abhishek Banerjee, Rasika Dugal, Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Harshita Gaur, Sushant Singh, Mohit Malik, Sheeba Chaddha, Rajesh Tailang, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Anjum Sharma, Sonal Chauhan, Pramod Pathak, and Anangsha Biswas.
