Central Railway To Implement Mega Block On Harbour Line To Bandra On July 12

Central Railway will undertake a mega block on its Main and Harbour suburban corridors on Sunday, July 12, 2026, to carry out essential engineering and maintenance works. The maintenance block will affect local train services on the Harbour line to Bandra, as well as services on the Main line.
According to Central Railway officials, the engineering and maintenance works are necessary for infrastructure upkeep and operational safety.
The mega block will be implemented on the UP and DOWN slow lines of the Main line between CSMT and Vidyavihar. On the Harbour line, the block will take place on the UP and DOWN lines between CSMT and Chunabhatti/Bandra.
Local train services on both the Main and Harbour lines will be affected due to the block. Commuters traveling to and from Bandra on the Harbour line will experience disruptions during the maintenance period. Similarly, passengers using the slow lines on the Main line between CSMT and Vidyavihar will also be impacted.
Central Railway has advised passengers to check the details of the block before planning their journeys on Sunday. The maintenance work is aimed at ensuring the long-term safety and reliability of the suburban train network.
