Central Railway to Run 15-Day Night Blocks at Titwala for Platform Extension

Central Railway is set to operate special traffic and power blocks at Titwala railway station for 15 days, starting from the midnight of August 28/29 and continuing through the midnight of September 11/12, 2026.

The nightly blocks will last for approximately five to six hours during each session. According to an official statement, the temporary closures are required to carry out essential platform extension work at the station.

The extension will enable Titwala station to accommodate 15-car suburban local train rakes, upgrading capacity from shorter rake configurations.

The railway administration stated that the scheduled engineering and infrastructure work is necessary for long-term railway improvement and passenger safety across the suburban network.
