Central Railway to Run Two Special Suburban Trains for Sekhon IAF Marathon in Mumbai

Central Railway has announced that it will operate two special suburban services in Mumbai during the intervening night of October 3 and October 4, 2026. The special transit arrangements are being provided specifically for participants travelling to the Sekhon Indian Airforce Marathon 2026.

According to an official statement released on Thursday, October 1, 2026, the dedicated suburban train services have been arranged to facilitate travel for those taking part in the athletic event.

The Sekhon Indian Airforce Marathon 2026 is being organised in memory of Indian Air Force Flying Officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon.

Central Railway confirmed that the two special services will run during the overnight hours connecting October 3 and October 4 to assist runners and attendees heading to the marathon.
