Charkop Police Recover 381 Stolen Mobile Phones From Across India

Charkop Police in Mumbai have recovered 381 stolen and snatched mobile phones from different states across India and returned them to their rightful owners following a targeted investigation.
The recovery operation was carried out between January 1 and August 19, 2026, under the direction of senior police officers. The cyber officer and staff members of the Charkop Police Station utilised technical investigation methods to track down the handsets that had been reported stolen or snatched by citizens.
According to an official statement released by the Mumbai Police, the team traced the mobile devices to various parts of the country where they had been transported after the offences occurred.
The recovered devices comprised various makes and models, including iPhones, Samsung, OnePlus, Vivo, Redmi, and Oppo smartphones.
After retrieving the 381 handsets from the different states, the Charkop Police verified the ownership details and handed the phones back to the original complainants.
