Cityflo Integrates ONDC Metro Ticket Booking Across Mumbai Lines

Commuters in Mumbai can now book metro tickets directly through the Cityflo mobile application following its integration with the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) on August 10, 2026. The app-based bus service introduced the feature to bring bus and metro travel onto a single platform, aiming to simplify daily multi-modal commutes across the city.
The service rollout covers major routes in Mumbai, including Metro Line 1, Lines 2A, 7, and 9, and Line 3, also known as the Aqua Line, alongside the Delhi Metro network. Commuters can search for transit routes, purchase one-way or round-trip QR code tickets, and complete payments directly within the app before scanning the QR code at station gates. Up to six tickets can be booked in a single transaction, with no additional booking fee charged at launch.
This system builds on Cityflo's existing partnership with the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRCL) for feeder bus connectivity to Aqua Line stations. MMRCL Director R Ramana stated that integrating feeder bus services and metro ticketing on a single platform could make daily journeys more convenient and offer commuters greater choice in planning their travel.
Rushabh Shah, co-founder and chief business officer of Cityflo, noted that the company views itself as a component of Mumbai's broader public transit ecosystem. Enabling metro ticketing within the app serves as a natural continuation of that role to simplify the entire commute.
The ONDC framework allows public transport ticketing to be accessed outside individual operator applications. For daily passengers, this integration reduces the need to switch between separate software platforms when coordinating trips that combine bus and metro services. Founded in 2015, Cityflo operates more than 1,200 buses across Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Kolkata, serving roughly 18 million rides annually.
