CJP Founder Abhijeet Dipke Launches Campaign Over Rural School Infrastructure
Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke launched the statewide 'School Thik Karo' campaign on Saturday from his ancestral village, Santuk Pimpri in Hingoli district, drawing attention to the neglect of basic infrastructure in government-run schools.
Dipke travelled 234 kilometres from his residence in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to Santuk Pimpri to attend an Independence Day flag-hoisting ceremony. During the visit, he inspected the local zilla parishad school to assess its facilities and interact with students.
Following the inspection, Dipke shared videos detailing multiple deficiencies at the state-run school. He reported that the facility lacked drinking water, benches, and a regular water supply, while also pointing out broken windows and unhygienic washrooms. In one recorded video, a broken window at the school was seen covered with banners featuring Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
Dipke also highlighted the poor condition of the toilets, showing a commode filled with dirt and garbage and questioning how schoolchildren could be expected to use such facilities. He sat with students to note down their grievances directly regarding the conditions they face daily.
After inspecting the premises, Dipke raised the issue with the village leadership. He stated that the village sarpanch gave an assurance that the gram panchayat would address and resolve all the listed infrastructure problems within a week. Dipke noted that change is possible when communities come together to take action.
The 'School Thik Karo' drive was originally announced by Dipke on August 10 as an initiative to audit government-run schools in rural regions. Under the campaign, parents across villages have been urged to inspect local schools, record video evidence of missing or damaged basic infrastructure, and submit the details to the CJP for follow-up.
In addition to the school audit initiative, Dipke demanded the introduction of a cap on private school fees and announced plans to launch a similar campaign targeting the condition of public hospitals.
