Clashes Erupt Over Demolition Drive In Dombivli As Residents Halt Bulldozer

A demolition drive in Dombivli in Thane district escalated into violence after local residents, including several women, confronted a bulldozer brought to demolish a structure amid an ongoing land ownership dispute.

The confrontation began when a builder brought bulldozers to the property site to clear the land. Local residents noticed the arrival of the heavy machinery and quickly gathered at the location to oppose the demolition drive.

The situation grew tense as several women positioned themselves directly in front of the bulldozer in an attempt to block it from tearing down the structures. During the standoff, one woman grabbed the arm of the machinery and refused to let go. Other women present at the scene attempted to convince her to release the vehicle's arm and step away from the equipment.

The standoff soon turned into a physical scuffle at the site. A fight broke out between the people who had arrived with the bulldozer and the local residents who were resisting the demolition of the property, with women from both sides engaging in the physical clash.

Following the violent confrontation, both parties involved in the land dispute approached the local police station to register their grievances. The police took cognizance of the matter based on the complaints and launched an investigation into the incident.
