CM Fadnavis Pledges to Expedite Karnataka Border Dispute Case in Supreme Court

On Wednesday, July 8, 2026, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis reaffirmed the state's commitment to resolving the long-standing border dispute with Karnataka during a high-level meeting at the Vidhan Bhavan in Mumbai. Speaking to the High-Level Committee on the border issue, Fadnavis pledged to protect the rights of Marathi-speaking people in the disputed border regions and promised to expedite the pending case in the Supreme Court.
The Chief Minister stated that the Maharashtra government would take active steps to ensure that the pending border dispute case is heard at the Supreme Court at the earliest possible date.
