Container Truck Hits Divider on Eastern Express Highway Near Chembur

A container truck crashed into a road divider on the Eastern Express Highway near Chembur early Wednesday morning, causing significant traffic disruption for commuters travelling towards Thane during the morning rush hour.

The incident occurred at around 5.30 am as the truck was heading towards Thane. According to preliminary information, the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing the truck to hit the divider before crossing into the opposite carriageway.

Video footage from the aftermath showed the long trailer stranded atop the divider, partially blocking the carriageway while vehicles moved cautiously around the scene. The vehicle did not show major visible damage in the footage.

The accident led to traffic congestion on the busy highway route throughout the morning. The exact cause of the crash remains unclear, and there were no immediate reports regarding the condition of the driver.
