Court to Frame Charges Against Accused in Thane Trader Mansukh Hiran Murder Case

The special NIA court in Mumbai on Monday cleared the way to frame charges against all the accused individuals booked in connection with the Antilia bomb scare case and the subsequent murder of Thane trader Mansukh Hiran. This key legal development marks a significant step forward in the high-profile case, bringing the proceedings closer to the official commencement of the trial.

During the court session on Monday, the special NIA court heard detailed arguments from the special prosecution regarding the allegations. After hearing the arguments from the special prosecution, the court stated that a case had been successfully made out for framing charges against all the accused individuals who have been booked in these cases.

To facilitate the transition to the next stage of the legal process, the court issued specific directions to the prosecution. The court has directed the prosecution to provide copies of the digital evidence to the accused. This sharing of digital evidence must be completed before the next scheduled court date.

The court noted that providing these copies of the digital evidence to the accused is a necessary prerequisite. Once this evidence is shared, the formal process of framing charges can officially begin. This step will then be followed by the commencement of the trial against all the accused.

The decision on Monday is expected to pave the way for the trial to begin soon. The case, which links the security incident near the Antilia residence to the murder of the Thane businessman Mansukh Hiran, will proceed to the next phase as soon as the digital evidence is handed over to the defence as instructed by the court.

The upcoming process of framing charges will allow the court to formally read out the specific allegations against each of the accused. The trial will commence immediately after these charges are framed, marking the next major phase of the judicial proceedings.
