Dadar East Residents Flag Debris on Footpath After BMC Road Work

Residents of Dadar East have raised concerns over debris and broken paver blocks left scattered along the footpath on Swami Gyan Jivandas Marg following pre-monsoon road concreting work carried out by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

The stretch, which connects Dadar railway station to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Road, underwent concreting prior to the arrival of the monsoon. Following the completion of the work, broken paver blocks and construction debris were left occupying the pedestrian walkway.

The newly concreted road is approximately two to three inches higher than the existing footpath. In response to the height difference, the civic body created asphalt ramps along the stretch, allowing vehicles to access and park on the premises of adjacent buildings and shops.

However, the unattended debris and damaged paver blocks left behind along the footpath remain a point of concern for local residents navigating the busy transit route.
