Dahisar Police Rescue 34-Year-Old Malad Man From Western Express Highway Drain

Dahisar Police personnel successfully rescued a 34-year-old man from a stormwater drain near the Western Express Highway in Mumbai on Tuesday. The man, who is a resident of Appa Pada in Malad East, had entered the drain and was allegedly attempting to injure himself before officers intervened.
The incident began when the police control room received an emergency alert reporting that a man had climbed into the stormwater drain. According to the police, the caller stated that the individual was attempting to cause self-harm inside the drain.
Upon receiving the alert, a Dahisar Police mobile unit immediately rushed to the specified location near the Western Express Highway. The police team arrived at the scene within minutes of the initial report.
After arriving at the site, the police personnel launched a search operation to locate the man. The officers successfully tracked him down within the stormwater drain and pulled him to safety.
The swift response by the Dahisar Police mobile unit prevented what could have ended in a tragedy. Authorities later identified the rescued individual as a 34-year-old resident of Appa Pada, Malad East.
