Daisy Shah Slams Campaigners After Fire Breaks Out Near Bandra East Apartment

A fire broke out at a house in the Bandra East area of Mumbai during an election campaign, prompting actor Daisy Shah to publicly criticize political campaigners for a lack of civic sense. The incident occurred at night near Shah's residential apartment while she was outside walking her dogs.
Following the safety hazard near her home, Shah shared a video of the fire on her Instagram account to express her outrage. She strongly condemned the campaign teams for their negligence and reckless behavior, which she noted had put the safety of local residents at risk.
In her public statement, Shah clarified that she is not associated with any political party. However, she called on political leaders to exercise better oversight when hiring teams to run their election campaigns, urging them to ensure that their workers show basic responsibility and common sense.
According to Shah, the campaign team had previously attempted to enter her residential building. She revealed that her building’s committee had refused to grant the campaigners permission to go door-to-door, a decision she praised as highly justified in light of the subsequent incident.
The actress expressed particular anger over the campaigners' decision to burst firecrackers directly next to residential buildings. She described the act as a dangerous example of careless behavior and emphasized that the fire was entirely preventable.
"Bursting crackers next to the buildings is not the way to go about it," Shah wrote in her social media post. She added that the incident was not a natural calamity but was instead caused by a severe lack of civic responsibility.
Concluding her statement, Shah demanded that those running the political campaigns take responsibility for the safety hazard, stating that it is high time for accountability.
