Daisy Shah Slams Election Campaigners After Fire Breaks Out Near Bandra East Flat

A fire broke out in a house in Mumbai's Bandra East area, allegedly during an election campaign, prompting actor Daisy Shah to publicly criticize campaigners for their lack of civic sense. The incident occurred at night near Shah's flat while she was walking her dogs.

Following the incident, Shah took to social media to express her outrage. She shared a video of the fire on her Instagram account, raising safety concerns regarding election campaigning activities near residential areas.

In her post, Shah criticized the recklessness of the campaigners and urged political entities to ensure their teams act responsibly. "I have got nothing to do with any political party!!! But when u hire teams to run campaigns for your elections please make sure they have some common sense in them," she wrote.

According to Shah, the fire was linked to campaigners bursting crackers next to the residential buildings in the area. She condemned the practice, stating that it was not the proper way to conduct campaigns and highlighted a severe lack of civic sense among those involved.

"Bursting crackers next to the buildings is not the way to go about it. This is what happens when people lack civic sense. It ain’t a natural calamity it’s caused by brainless people," Shah added in her statement, calling on the organizers to take accountability for the incident.

The actor also revealed that her residential building's committee had previously refused to allow the election campaigners entry to go door-to-door. Shah expressed relief over this decision, noting that the committee's move was justified given the subsequent events. She emphasized that bursting fireworks near residential buildings is a dangerous practice that puts lives and property at risk.
