Daisy Shah slams election campaigners after fire breaks out near her Bandra East flat

An overnight fire broke out in a house in the Bandra East area of Mumbai, prompting actor Daisy Shah to strongly criticize election campaigners for a lack of civic sense and responsibility. The incident occurred at night while the actor was walking her dogs near her residential building.
Shah captured the incident on video and shared the footage on her Instagram account to draw attention to the safety hazards posed by the campaign activities. According to Shah, the fire was allegedly caused by campaigners bursting firecrackers in close proximity to residential buildings in the neighborhood.
Expressing her frustration, Shah stated that she does not have any association with any political party. However, she urged political entities to ensure that the teams hired to run their election campaigns exercise basic common sense and caution when operating in residential zones.
In her social media post, Shah wrote: "I have got nothing to do with any political party!!! But when u hire teams to run campaigns for your elections please make sure they have some common sense in them. Thank fully our building committee refused their entry to go door to door. Bursting crackers next to the buildings is not the way to go about it. This is what happens when people lack civic sense. It ain’t a natural calamity it’s caused by brainless people. TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY … ITS HIGH TIME."
Shah also highlighted the proactive measures taken by her residential building's committee. She noted that the committee had previously refused to grant the election campaigners permission to go door-to-door, a decision she described as highly justified in light of the subsequent incident.
The actor condemned the practice of setting off fireworks near residential complexes, calling it a dangerous and careless act that put lives and property at risk. She emphasized that the fire was not a natural disaster but rather a man-made event caused by irresponsible behavior, calling on those involved to take immediate accountability.
