David Dhawan’s Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai Scheduled For 2026 Release

The upcoming Bollywood feature film 'Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai', directed by David Dhawan, is officially scheduled for a theatrical release in 2026. The production stars Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hegde in lead roles, bringing a new romantic comedy-drama to Mumbai's cinema audiences.

The movie's narrative revolves around Jaswinder, also known as Jass, portrayed by Varun Dhawan. Jass works as a professional wedding photographer. His life takes a turn when he is hired to shoot a wedding for the sister of Bani, played by Mrunal Thakur. During the event, Jass falls for Bani, who is charmed by him, leading to their marriage.

However, the relationship faces trouble five years later. Bani decides to ask for a divorce because Jass is eager to start a family and have a child, an idea that Bani strongly opposes. The legal proceedings bring them before a judge, played by Ali Asgar, who decides to annul the marriage after a six-month period, expressing hope that the couple might reconcile.

Despite the judge's intervention, Bani remains clear about her desire to separate. Heartbroken by the breakdown of his marriage, Jass decides to relocate to London to start anew. While living in London, he meets Preet, played by Pooja Hegde, and the two begin dating.

Their relationship progresses smoothly until a sudden turn of events. Bani unexpectedly arrives at Jass's home in London and announces that she is pregnant with his child. In a double twist, Preet also informs Jass on the very same day that she is expecting his child, setting up the central conflict of the movie.

Promotional updates for the 2026 film have already commenced, including the release of a song titled "Chunnari Chunnari – Let’s Go," which features Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hegde.
