Devendra Fadnavis Becomes Maharashtras Third Longest Serving Chief Minister

The Bharatiya Janata Party announced on Monday, 13 July 2026, that Devendra Fadnavis has become the third longest-serving Chief Minister of Maharashtra. The announcement was made by BJP State Chief Spokesperson Navnath Ban during a press conference at the BJP state office in Mumbai.

Addressing the media at the party's state headquarters, Ban attributed the political longevity of Chief Minister Fadnavis to sustained public support. He emphasized that the milestone is a reflection of the deep confidence reposed in Fadnavis by the people of Maharashtra.

In addition to marking this achievement, Ban expressed strong confidence on behalf of the party regarding the Chief Minister's future tenure. The state chief spokesperson stated that the BJP is confident Fadnavis will eventually become the longest-serving Chief Minister in the history of Maharashtra.
