Devendra Fadnavis Inaugurates Pro Govinda League Season 4 in Worli

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated Season 4 of the Pro Govinda League on Tuesday at the Dome SVP Stadium in Worli, Mumbai. The fourth edition of the tournament is taking place from August 25 to August 27, bringing together 16 teams to compete for the championship title and a share of a ₹1.89 crore prize pool.

The tournament is centered around the traditional sport of human pyramid formation, organised into a professional league format. Teams from multiple cities and regions are participating in the three-day competition, including regional contenders such as the DGM Thane Tigers, Navi Mumbai Strikers, and Mira Bhayandar Lions.

The full lineup of 16 competing teams comprises the Alibaug Knights, Hyderabad Dynamos, Nagpur Ninjas, Nashik Rangers, Surat Titans, Lucknow Panthers, Goa Surfers, Navi Mumbai Strikers, Shoor Mumbaikar, Mira Bhayandar Lions, Delhi Eagles, Bengaluru Blazers, Jaipur Kings, DGM Thane Tigers, Varanasi Mahadeva Ascenders, and Mumbai Falcons Yoddhas.

The competition format begins with knockout and league group-stage matches scheduled across the first two days, August 25 and 26. During these stages, the squads will compete in speed-based human pyramid formations to secure advancement.

The tournament will conclude with the grand finale on August 27, when the final matches will take place and the champion of Season 4 will be crowned.
