Dindoshi Court Orders Shamita Yadav to Delete Posts Against Shilpa Shetty, Raj Kundra

The City Civil Court in Dindoshi, Mumbai, has issued an order restraining social media influencer Shamita Yadav from publishing or circulating any content that may be defamatory against actor Shilpa Shetty Kundra and her husband, businessman Raj Kundra. On July 18, 2026, the court also directed Yadav to take down her existing defamatory social media posts targeting the couple pending further court orders.
The legal conflict began after Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Raj Kundra moved a defamation suit before the City Civil Court in Dindoshi. The couple filed the suit against Yadav in response to various comments and posts she had published against them on her social media accounts since February. While this defamation suit was pending, the couple also moved a notice of motion seeking an interim injunction to prevent further posts from Yadav.
During the court proceedings, the couple's lawyer, Pradeep Gandhy, contended that Yadav had portrayed the couple as criminals in her various online posts. Gandhy claimed that Yadav had committed serious illegal acts against the plaintiffs and engaged in wrongful and malicious acts by circulating the defamatory posts. He argued that these actions had caused irreparable injury to the reputation of the actor and her businessman husband.
In response to these arguments, Additional Sessions Judge S.M. Bukke at the Dindoshi Sessions Court accepted the prayers presented in the couple's notice of motion. Judge Bukke officially restrained Yadav, along with her representatives and agents, from publishing any defamatory content against the couple.
Additionally, the court directed Yadav to take down the defamatory content that she had already published on her social media accounts. This order to remove the existing material will remain in place until further orders are issued by the court.
