Diva Wards 27 and 28 to Face 12-Hour Water Cut on Friday for Pipeline Repairs

Water supply across wards 27 and 28 in Diva will be completely shut down for 12 hours on Friday, September 4, to allow the Thane Municipal Corporation to repair a leaking 800-mm main pipeline near Agasan Phatak.

The shutdown will remain in effect from 9 am to 9 pm on Friday, coinciding with local Janmashtami festivities. In addition to the 12-hour suspension, the civic administration noted that residents may experience reduced water supply for one to two days after the repair work is completed.

According to the Thane Municipal Corporation, fixing the pipeline leakage is necessary to address persistent water-related complaints raised by residents across the surrounding neighbourhoods.

The disruption will impact several localities within the two Diva wards. The affected areas include Agasan, Betawade, Ganesh Nagar, Bedekar Nagar, Mhasoba Nagar, Shanti Nagar, BR Nagar, Mumbra Devi Colony, Sabe village, and portions of Diva West.
