Doctor Assaulted by Parent at Vaidyanath Physiotherapy Institute in Parli

A doctor was allegedly assaulted by a parent on the premises of the Vaidyanath Physiotherapy Institute in Parli, located in Maharashtra's Beed district, following a dispute over a classroom disciplinary measure on Friday, August 28.

The incident took place after a parent confronted teacher Dr Zaheer Ahmed Mohammad Ismail. The parent accused the doctor of deliberately making his daughter stand inside the classroom during an ongoing session at the institute.

Security camera footage of the encounter surfaced on social media, showing Dr Ismail involved in an intense argument with a man believed to be the student's father. Within moments, the verbal confrontation escalated into physical violence.

According to the CCTV recording, another man approached Dr Ismail and allegedly launched an attack against him. The footage shows the man slapping and punching the doctor while bystanders and individuals present in the area rushed in to intervene and break up the altercation.

The student involved was also visible in the security recording, where she was seen attempting to step between the men and halt the physical attack against her teacher.

The timestamp on the footage confirmed that the incident took place on Friday on the institute's hospital premises. The circulation of the video online has triggered widespread concern regarding security and the safety of medical professionals and teaching staff working across institutes in the state.

As of the latest reports, there has been no official confirmation regarding whether a formal police complaint was registered, or if any arrests or legal actions have been taken against the perpetrators in connection with the Beed incident.
